Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at former US president gives news conference.

    Muntadhar al-Zeidi, the Iraqi journalist who in December threw his shoes at George Bush, the then US president, has been released from jail.

    Citing revenge for the suffering of Iraqis during the US invasion as his motivation, and pledging to use his new-found status to promote humanitarian causes, al-Zeidi on Tuesday gave a news conference in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, to talk about his experience.
