'Israeli shell' kills Gaza fighter

Islamic Jihad says one of its members killed in coastal territory by tank round.

    Earlier, Israel launched an air raid on a security compound in southern Gaza. There were no confirmed reports of casualties in the raid.

    The security compound in Khan Yunis was attacked three times during Israel's war on Gaza last month.

    More than 1,300 Palestinians died, at least of a third of that number women and children, during the 22-day assault on the coastal territory.

    At least 13 Israelis, including three civilians, were killed over the course of the war, which Israel said was aimed at preventing rocket fire from Gaza into Israel.
