Five years ago today, a truck bomb in Baghdad caused the United Nations to leave Iraq.

Twenty-two people were killed including Sergio Vieira de Mello, the UN secretary-general’s special representative in Iraq.

The UN’s mission is back, but not at full strength and many still argue it should not be there at all.

John Terrett reports.
