Ukraine rebels advance towards Mariupol

Pro-Russian separatists approach port city of Mariupol and several other Ukrainian towns despite ongoing peace talks.

    Ukraine's military has bolstered its defences in Mariupol as pro-Russia separatists continue to advance towards the area.

    Several Ukrainian military units claimed they have been stopped at pro-Russian separatists' checkpoints armoured with tanks near the main road from Mariupol to the Russian border.

    Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports from the port city.
