Gorbachev honoured in UK

Celebrities and politicians attend concert to celebrate career of former Soviet leader.

Mikhail Gorbachev, the former leader of the Soviet Union and one of the most recognisable political figures of the 20th century, has been celebrating his recent 80th birthday in London.

The event, a star-studded concert held at the Royal Albert Hall, was hosted by Hollywood actors Kevin Spacey and Sharon Stone.

As well as celebrating Gorbachev's achievements, the concert helped raise money for charity and recognised the work of individuals who have contributed to culture and technology.
