Athens chaos marks teenager's death

Police arrest nearly 300 people as masked youths stage demonstrations.

Masked youths have rampaged through the Greek capital of Athens, smashing windows and hurling firebombs to mark the anniversary of the death of a teenager, shot last year by police.

The authorities responded by firing tear gas and, unusually, detained nearly 300 people in connection with the disruption.
