Europe’s biggest shopping mall may lift economic fears
For many countries economic growth depends heavily on consumer spending, on Thursday official figures have been released showing consumer confidence in the Eurozone has fallen to its lowest level for 15 years.
In Britain, where consumer confidence is also weak, a new shopping mall, the biggest in Europe, has just opened its doors for the first time.
A huge mistake? Or a good bet that Britain’s economy, which is heading into recession will bounce back?
