Hasina on 'historic' India visit

Bangladeshi PM's visit aims at doing away with mutual distrust and improving ties.

     

    India has hailed the Bangladeshi prime minister's first official visit to New Delhi as a "path-breaking and historic opportunity".

    The two nations are striving to build bridges after years of mistrust.

    India has often blamed Bangladesh for sheltering separatist rebels while Dhaka has accused New Delhi of harbouring its criminal fugitives.
