More than 30 people have been killed in recent weeks in clashes between Hindu and Christian groups in India’s eastern state of Orissa. With tensions still running high, there are fears the violence is speading.

In the southern state of Karnataka, the police are being accused of siding with the Hindus against the church-going community. Al Jazeera’s Matt McClure reports from Mangalore:
