Blast hits convoy in Afghanistan

Several people reported injured after bomb attack on Isaf military convoy.

    'IED explosion'
     
    Zemarai Bashary, the interior ministry spokesman, said: "I can confirm there was a suicide car bomb against a foreign military convoy."
     

    However, an Isaf spokesman said "there was an IED [improvised explosive device] attack on an Isaf convoy and four soldiers have been  injured".

    He also said that the force was unaware of any civilian casualties.

    The bombing in the area comes two days after a similar attack  killed three Afghan civilians in the capital Kabul.

     

    Jalalabad is the capital of Nangarhar province, located near the Pakistani border.
