Suicide bomber kills Afghan troops

At least five people killed by attack on military convoy in eastern Khost province.


    His spokesman told Al Jazeera that 12 soldiers were killed by Muhammad Hassan, a supporter of Haqqani.
     
    Suicide bombers frequently target military convoys, but civilian passers-by are often killed in such attacks.
     
    More than 140 suicide bombings were carried out in the country in the last year alone.
