Japan's PM backtracks on US base

Yukio Hatoyama says it is "impossible" to relocate US military base off Okinawa.



    Yukio Hatoyama, Japan's prime minister, says it will be impossible to completely move a key US military base out of Okinawa.

    The decision means Hatoyama is backtracking on a key election promise, the issue continues to divide the people on the island.
