Opposition candidates frame by-elections as a referendum on political reform.

    Hong Kong residents have voted in by-elections which opposition candidates have framed as a referendum on political reform.

    Sunday's elections were triggered when five opposition legislators resigned in January to pressure Beijing to implement full democracy in the former British colony.
