Vietnam farmers paid not to farm

Pilot project in Vietnam aims to lift farmers out of poverty.

    Giving money to poor farmers not to cultivate the land may sound a strange way to lift people out of poverty but a pilot project in Vietnam is aiming to do just that.

    At the same time, the project aims to preserve the environment and benefit the local economy.
