UN's development goals deadline approaches

Questions remain as to whether ambitious plan set by world body to alleviate poverty has succeeded.

    In 2000, the United Nations set an ambitious plan called the "Millennium Development Goals".

    The aim was to alleviate poverty and provide better living conditions for people around the world by 2015.

    So what has been achieved as the deadline approaches?
