Guards escort Chicago children to class

Gang violence in the city prompts a show of force to protect young students from upswing in gun crime.

    It was back to school for a new term on Monday for students in the US city of Chicago. But many were also facing a new beginning.

    The closure of fifty schools last May has left thousands of children with longer - and more dangerous - walks to class.
