Instant messaging threatens email use

Faster messaging systems may be replacing emailing for all but serious communications.

    People around the world send an estimated 300 billion emails in total everyday.

    But faster instant messaging systems such as Twitter, Facebook and Skype are threatening to replace emailing for all but serious communications.
