Jackson doctor found guilty of manslaughter

Conrad Murray had pleaded not guilty to giving the “Thriller” singer a fatal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol.

Michael Jackson’s personal doctor was found guilty on Monday of involuntary manslaughter in the pop star’s death.

Dr. Conrad Murray had pleaded not guilty to giving the “Thriller” singer a fatal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol, which was ruled as the main cause of his death on June 25, 2009.

Prosecutors argued during the six-week trial that Murray was grossly negligent in administering the propofol to help Jackson sleep as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts.

Defense attorneys said Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of propofol.
