Netanyahu firm on Jerusalem

Israeli PM rejects US call to halt settlement building in occupied Palestinian territory.

"Jerusalem is not a settlement.. it is our capital."

These defiant words came from Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, as he addressed a conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac) in Washington DC on Monday.

His remarks came hours after Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of state, called on Israel to halt all settlement expansion in occupied Palestinian territory.
