US approach to Iran criticised

Iranian-Americans say focus on nuclear issue could work against Iran's reform movement.

As Iranians across the world prepare to celebrate the Iranian new year, many Iranian-Americans have criticised the West's approach to confronting the government in Tehran.

International criticism over Iran's disputed nuclear programme has sharpened as the West appears to be pushing for more targeted sanctions.

But many Iranian-Americans say they believe that focusing solely on the nuclear issue will do little to undermine the current Iranian government and could work against the country's reform movement.
