Historic US wins at winter Olympics

The US hockey team beat Canada for the first time in decades as a US skier won gold.

Bode Millar, the US skier, has won the first Olympic gold medal at the Vancouver Winter Games on Sunday - after already winning Bronze and Silver.

Following the US gold medal win, the US men's hockey team defeated Canada for the first time in 50 years.

As a result, the United States hockey team will pass on to the quarter-finals, leaving their host behind.
