'Attack' on transatlantic flight

Nigerian allegedly tries to ignite explosive device on passenger jet bound for Detroit.

    US authorities say a passenger - a Nigerian national - on board a transatlantic flight is in custody after trying to ignite an explosive device.

    The incident happened as the flight made its final descent into the US city of Detroit.

    The White House has called it "an attempted act of terrorism".

    Al Jazeera's Azhar Sukri reports.
