US health bill passes key hurdle

Senate vote paves way for significant reform affecting millions of Americans.

Barack Obama, the US president, hailed the vote as a victory in the battle to push through a far-reaching overhaul of the American healthcare system.

But as Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan reports, the final outcome remains unpredictable.
