No new Guantanamo deadline set

Obama sets no new date after admitting will not make January deadline.

Barack Obama has admitted his administration will miss a self-imposed deadline to close the US prison at Guantanamo Bay by January.

The US president also said the timeline for closing it will depend on co-operation from congress.

And while he still hopes the prison will be shut down some time in 2010, he has not set a new deadline.

Al Jazeera's senior Washington correspondent Rob Reynolds reports.
