Rise in violence after pull-out of US forces from cities is problem for Washington.



    The US ambassador to Iraq says the US is sticking to its timetable for troop withdrawal there. 

    Testifying before US congress for the first time since taking up the post in April, Christopher Hill says that Iraqis are standing firm despite a recent spate of violence.
