The United Nations has expressed concern over violence in Sri Lanka as the toll continues to rise, with a doctor working in the country’s so-called safe zone saying at least 47 people died on Tuesday when his hospital was attacked.
Tamil Tiger fighters blame the government but the army denied the claim.
