On December 31, 2014 Al Jazeera reported on the failed attempt to overthrow Gambia President Yahya Jammeh.
In our report, we quoted a Facebook page believed to be run by the president’s office.
We have subsequently discovered that the Facebook page in question was not officially sanctioned by the president’s office.
