Kenya war crimes arrest 'a mistake'

Arrest of man thought to be wanted by Hague tribunal "a case of mistaken identity".

    Police 'tipped-off'

    Mohammed Adow, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Mombasa, said staff told him police acting on a tip-off had made a surprise visit to the water sports club on Thursday afternoon and "whisked their manager away".

    The man was a German citizen of Yugoslav origin, a Serbian source told the AFP news agency.

    Mladic is wanted for genocide over the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in which about 8,000 Muslim men were killed.

    Hadzic is wanted in connection with atrocities during the war in Croatia.
