South Africa vote set for April

Interim leader names date for the country’s fourth post-apartheid general election.

Motlanthe took over the presidency after Mbeki was forced out of office in September last year after a judge accused his government of meddling in Zuma’s prosecution.

Zuma, who is expected to stand trial on corruption charges in August, has said he will step down if convicted.
