Venezuela crisis: Security forces accused of human rights abuses

A report by the UN expresses concern about allegations of torture and forced disappearances by security forces.

A new report from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights accuses Venezuela’s government of arbitrary detentions, forced disappearances and torture.

Now there are fears the abuses have got worse, under the cover of the coronavirus state of emergency.
