Global COVID-19 cases could be 12 times higher than reported

More than half a million lives have been lost in the spread of the novel coronavirus around the world – but the death toll could be much higher according to an MIT study.

The number of coronavirus cases continues to grow around the world.

More than 15 million people have now been infected globally.

But researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say the true death toll could be 12 times higher.
