US: Retired doctors, medical students volunteer against COVID-19

New York City’s mayor is calling for a national mobilisation of medical personnel to fight the pandemic.

The US military is sending more than 1,000 of its doctors, nurses and other medical staff to New York to help overburdened hospitals.
