Iran elections: Candidates register for 2020 vote

In Iran, candidates began on Sunday to register for Iran's 2020 parliamentary election.

    Registration for candidates in Iran's upcoming parliamentary elections has opened.

    Iran has just come out of an Internet blackout following mass demonstrations over an increase in fuel prices.

    With turnout expected to be low, authorities are indicating a willingness for more open elections.
