Texas death row: Calls for Rodney Reed’s exoneration

Supporters of a US death row inmate are calling for his release following new evidence that could prove his innocence.

Rodney Reed, 51, is due to be executed next week in Texas, for the murder of a woman 23 years ago.

But his attorneys say new testimony implicates the woman’s fiancee instead.

Now there is increasing pressure on the governor of Texas to intervene.
