Thailand’s sugarcane oversupply sends prices south

Thailand’s sugarcane farmers are hurting as an oversupply last year has driven prices down.

That’s compounded by the strength of the Thai baht, which has increased costs for the industry.

And China, a traditional market, is now protecting its own sugarcane farmers.
