Brexit deal in its final stages, hint UK, EU officials

Officials in London and Brussels have signalled a new Brexit agreement is in its final stages and could be agreed by European Union leaders as soon as Thursday.

French President Emmanuel Macron says he “wants to believe an agreement has been finalised”.

It is thought there will be an announcement either way within the coming hours.
