Fighting al-Shabab: US trains elite Somali forces

Somali government officials say this elite force is comprised of soldiers from almost all of Somalia’s tribes and clans.

The number of US soldiers in Somalia has increased under President Donald Trump.

One of their jobs involves training a local group to become an elite force to take on al-Shabab fighters.
