UN Security Council: Meeting discusses US missile test
Missile launcher used in Sunday’s test same model that US has deployed in Romania and Poland, but with modifications to allow it to launch offensive intermediate nuclear missiles.
Russia and the United States have accused each other of risking a new arms race at the United Nations Security Council. The meeting was requested by Russia and China to discuss Washington’s testing of a land-based nuclear-capable missile.
The test comes after Washington pulled out of a Cold War-era missile treaty
