American financier Jeffrey Epstein commits suicide

Wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking underage girls for sex, has killed himself in cell in a Manhattan prison.

    Two weeks ago the 66-year-old was placed on suicide watch after he was found unconscious in his cell after he was denied bail. Epstein was accused of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls at homes in Florida and New York from 2002 to 2005.

    The FBI is opening an investigation into his death.
