Estonia ferry disaster: French court denies compensation claim

The MS Estonia ferry sank in the Baltic sea almost 25 years ago, killing 852 people.

Relatives of hundreds of people who died in one of Europe‘s worst maritime disasters have lost their claim for compensation.

852 people died when the MS Estonia sank in the Baltic Sea in 1994. Most of the victims’ bodies were never discovered.
