UN advises 'maximum restraint' in US-Iran dispute

As US puts pressure on Iran over recent attacks and nuclear deal, UN urges both sides to act with caution.

    The UN Security Council is calling on all sides to show restraint as the rhetoric and attacks between the United States and Iran become increasingly heated.

    It also condemned attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf earlier this month.

    The US has blamed Iran, but Tehran denies any involvement.
