Central African refugees welcomed in Maine

More than 220 asylum seekers are being hosted in the city of Portland, Maine, where locals hope the new faces will help create a better future for everyone.

    In the past week, the US city of Portland in Maine has been dealing with a sudden influx of around 300 refugees from Central Africa.

    The city has largely welcomed the newcomers and the benefits might end up going both ways.

    Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Portland.
