Motorcycles are providing a vital service to Kenya's rural communities.

    In Kenya, patients needing emergency care are often transferred to hospital by taxi or even bicycle rather than by ambulance.

    The situation is worse in rural areas where medical services are in short supply.

     

    In the latest in our series on First Responders, Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi reports from Muranga, where motorcycles are now being used to help save lives.
