Kentucky Derby faced with spike in horse deaths

No one has determined the cause of fatal injuries but animal rights advocates point to an over-medication of horses.

    That means horse racing fans are getting ready for one of the biggest events in the sport.

    But a spike in horse deaths has overshadowed the season.
