Cannes film festival: Inside the career of Director Mira Nair

Film Director Mira Nair won Cannes festival Camera d'Or prize in 1988, the first Indian filmmaker to win the award.

    The Cannes Film Festival is where Director Mira Nair found her fame.

    In 1988, she became the first Indian filmmaker to win the Camera d'Or for Best First Feature for Salaam Bombay.

    Now, 30 years on, her socially-conscious work continues to have an effect on the industry.
