Benin reclaims colonial-era artifacts from France

Benin is asking France to return thousands of artifacts looted from the country during the colonial wars.

Benin says it is working with the French government to arrange the return of precious artifacts stolen during the colonial era.

But one of the challenges is the capacity to look after the items once they arrive.

Many of the items are thought to have been taken from the Kingdom of Abomey.

Al Jazeera's Ama Boateng reports from Abomey.
