Shanghai motor show: Electric vehicles take centre stage

The race for electric vehicle dominance in China will come down to whose batteries last the longest.

    Car sales around the world are slumping, with many blaming trade tensions between the United States and China.

    But that has not stopped global carmakers to turn to the Chinese market. The country's electric car industry is booming and at the opening of 2019 Auto Shanghai motor show, the spotlight is on new high-value vehicles.
