Palestine financial hit: Civil servants' salaries cut in half

How thousands of Palestinian civil servants in the occupied West Bank are trying to survive following tough salary cuts.

    For the second month in a row, the Palestinian government will only pay civil servants half their salaries.

    This comes after Israel said it would withhold the taxes that it collects on behalf of the Palestinian Authority.

    The Palestine government says salary cuts will come from high-salary officials.

    Al Jazeera's Nida Ibrahim reports from the occupied West Bank on how the pay cuts are hurting the Palestinian economy.
