Israel’s far-right PM candidate seeks to annex Gaza, West Bank

Moshe Feiglin, who has seen a surge in polls, is a member of one of the country’s smaller but controversial parties vying for power as Benjamin Netanyahu battles to keep top post.

With six days to go before Israel’s general election, attention is focused on the battle for re-election by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu needs the help of smaller parties to defeat his main challenger, former army chief Benny Gantz.

Meanwhile, the country is also seeing a rise of other far-right candidates. The Zehut party’s Moshe Feiglin wants to annex the occupied West Bank and Gaza and dispatch hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to other countries.
