US impeachment: Trump vows to take it to top court

US president vowed on Wednesday to take fight to Supreme Court if congressional Democrats want to impeach him.

US President Donald Trump has vowed to fight all the way to the Supreme Court, against any attempts to impeach him.

This comes after Democrats in Congress launched new investigations into the president.

Congress remains the only body with control over any impeachment proceedings in the US.

Democrats remain divided on whether to proceed with Trump's impeachment after Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia inquiry.
